As our area continues to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional 4th of July activities were canceled as a safety measure.  However, at the Manor of Hope, we had our own “pandemic version” of 4th of July celebrations!

This past weekend was chock full of activities and fun!

On the 4th of July, after a busy day, the guys started the evening with a nice menu that included burger sliders, bratwurst and slick sausage on the grill.  Side dishes included fresh pasta salad and a true home-grown farm-to-table coleslaw!  All the ingredients for the slaw were freshly harvested from our organic garden, and it was simply delicious.  There’s nothing like farm-to-table food!

After our tasty dinner, some of the guys relaxed by playing a few games of pool and listening to music in our brand-new game room, while others hung out and waited patiently until the sun started to go down.

At dusk, the gang headed up to the Manor of Hope graduate house at the hilltop to see our very own fireworks display that started at about 9 pm and lasted a good 20 minutes.

The Schiavone family graciously donated fireworks for everyone at the Manor of Hope, and our fireworks display was nothing short of spectacular!

After a quick clean-up, the guys headed to the local ice cream shop to end the night with a cold treat!

The Manor of Hope wants to thank Vince, Linda, and Grace for their time and for putting up such an amazing display of fireworks for our guys.  They made our 4th of July a special one.

We hope you and your loved ones had a great day. Happy 4th of July to all of you!
