At Manor of Hope, one of the values we teach our residents is to “give back”.
This holiday season, the Manor of Hope residents adopted a local family for Christmas.
All of the residents took this task very seriously. Doug led a team of his house mates in a shopping trip, to pick up the latest styles in shoes and clothing for the entire family of four. They also got a newborn bed as gift, as the family is excepting a new member to join them soon.
Parker took the lead on wrapping the gifts and demonstrated his professional gift wrapping expertise – to which he attributes his dexterity and skills to his mom!
After the gifts were wrapped, the Manor of Hope gentlemen delivered all the packages to the family’s home and were greeted with smiles and joy.
It was simply amazing to see the amount of gratitude from the family, and the smiles in the kids faces.
It was an amazing experience, and it was a great example of what “giving back” is all about.
Merry Christmas to them!
