At The Manor of Hope, we strongly believe in being of service to others, volunteering, and giving back. We instill these important values in our guys, and we constantly seek for opportunities to engage in acts of service.
Today, we had another wonderful opportunity to give back to a local family on need.
It is a tradition for the Manor of Hope to partner with St. Anne’s church in Phoenixville every December to adopt a family for the holidays. This year, we adopted Beatriz and her 4 children and purchased gifts for all of them for the holidays.
The delivery date was set for Sunday 12/22 at St Anne’s church and the guys were up early and in a jolly mood! They were all eager to be a part of this special day. We packed the van with presents for the Beatriz family and some beautiful poinsettias that we donated to the church. Schiavone made a yummy breakfast for everyone, and after cleaning up we were all on the way to church.
Our friend from St. Anne’s, Graciela, was waiting for us. She was very happy to see that we brought poinsettias to decorate their dining hall for their Christmas dinner. After the guys helped with the poinsettias, we were all introduced to Beatriz. And after a brief conversation, the guys handed Beatriz the gifts for her and her children. She was very moved and very thankful for the gifts.
It is truly amazing to see how a simple act of kindness like this, can have such a positive impact on people.
We can only hope that Beatriz and her entire family enjoy all their gifts this holiday season.
Happy Holidays to all of you!
