We at the Manor of Hope are taking the Coronavirus precautions very seriously. We have suspended all activities that involve groups of people, and we have ramped up our cleaning and disinfecting following all CDC guidelines.
However, we are still keeping busy and active. Currently, we are running in-house recovery and leadership groups (some of them by our famous outdoor firepit).
We have also started the Manor of Hope Olympics!
The MOH Olympics is a combination of various events that include:
- Wii Sports, Super Smash Brothers
- Call of Duty
- Horseshoe games
- Axe throwing
- Spades
- Poker
The MOH Olympics are the brainchild of our own Manor of Hope residents, as an effort to stay engaged during this time. The Olympics are currently ongoing, and the competition is certainly heating up in classic Manor fashion!
But not all activities were inside and we are still getting out when we can. This week, we went for a bike ride along the Schuylkill canal; we took a hiking trip to St. Peters Village and we spent a few hours at Valley Forge Park. All of this while being highly aware of social distancing.
At the Manor of Hope, we will continue to follow all CDC recommendations and guidelines to keep our residents and community safe, while continuing to provide excellent services and meaningful days for all.
Stay safe!
