Although our residents remain quarantined and keeping safe, we continue to be busy at the Manor of Hope.

As you know, biking continues to be a favorite activity. Staff and residents hop on the Trek  Marlin bikes any time the weather allows it.  We are lucky to have a number of trails open and available to us. Maintaining the social distancing rules, we are able to keep busy and getting the blood flowing on the Schuylkill River Trail, Perkiomen Trail, and The Schuylkill Canal Tow Path.

In addition to our frequent bike rides, we have been spending time getting the Manor property ready for spring.

This week, we got the patio furniture back in its proper place and set up our propane fire pit.  Our guys will soon be spending countless hours sitting on the patio by a cozy fire.

We also spent time tending to the yard.  The residents and staff worked together in cleaning up all branches and sticks that had fallen in the yard over the winter. They’ve been nicely piled up on our fire pit and will be lit soon enough, as we roast some s’ mores!

We also mowed the lawn for the first time of what will become a weekly activity later in the spring and summer.

Finally, Zen Master Jim stopped by today to take a look at our Zen Garden and get it ready for the spring as well.

We at the Manor continue to observe all CDC recommendations for social distancing, and cleanliness in order to keep our community safe.

If you or a loved one needs help, remember that we are open!

Happy spring!
