This week, the manor of hope guys took advantage of the gorgeous cool air and sunny weather, and loaded up their brand new Trek Marlin 7 29er mountain bikes and headed to The White Clay Creek State Park trails in Delaware in search for adventure.
After packing some water and a few snacks, the gang headed south to the explore the amazing trial systems of the White Clay. We pulled up to the trail head about 11 am and everyone got ready to roll promptly!
James, is an experienced mountain biker and was a former down hill biker and moto cross racer. He lead the pack. Sean, Hayden and Mallozzi followed his lead.
After a short ride through a field, the guys turned into the woods and rode right into the skilled section of the trail. The skilled section is composed of a series of man-made obstacles that ranged in difficulty from easy to advanced. All the guys wanted a try at the skilled area and all successfully managed it with no problems!
They then set off to explore the rest of the park for the next two hours. The guys pedaled through the tough uphills, sped up through downhills, and cruised over the great rolling terrain that White Clay has to offer.
After a few hours of riding, it was time to call it a day and head back home to the Manor. Everyone had a great day on the trails.
The Manor of Hope team wants to send a HUGE thank you to Jim Fahy and the entire team at Cycle Fit in Wallingford, PA. Jim and his team made it possible for the Manor of Hope to get 5 brand new Trek mountain bikes for our program, and also allowing us to continue our mission and work. Thank you Jim!
Stay tuned for our next Mountain Bike adventure….
